Late Changes to the Draw

The following late changes to the draw are not reflected in the download draw document:

With the agreement of the clubs concerned, the times of the following races have been changed:

Race 1   Heat of WJ15 1X: Meredith has scratched, so Wells will go straight through to race 31
Race 14 Heat of N 8+: Roehampton University have scratched, so Thames will go through to race 34.
Race 53 Heat of WN 1X: Neale (Tideway Scullers) has scratched from this three-boat race.
Race 76 Final of J18 8+: Haileybury have scratched, so the event will not take place
Race 81 (final of S2 8): The crew shown as Quintin is actually a Quintin / Mortlake Anglian & Alpha composite

Large Entry for 2008 Regatta

This year we had more entries than ever before.  Despite the return of three-boat racing – which means we can accommodate many more crews than last year – we had more entries than we could squeeze into a day's racing.  As a result, we have had to scrap 18 events where we could have run straight finals.  We are sorry if yours is one of the crews that we cannot accommodate.

OARA cannot handle refunds. Consequently, if you have paid your entry fee through OARA but don't have a race, we will send your refund in the form of a cheque. In fact, the refund process will be complicated by the fact that OARA does not tell us whose credit card has been used to make each payment.  In order to find out to whom our refund cheques should be made payable, we will be contacting each person who submitted an OARA entry where a refund is due.
