QUINTIN BOAT CLUB ANNUAL DINNER

Friday 3rd February 2012 at Royal Automobile Club, Pall Mall
7:00 for 7:30 pm

Quintin Boat Club’s Annual Dinner will be at the Royal Automobile Club, Pall Mall, on Friday 3 February at 7.00pm for 7.30pm. The cost is £60 excluding drinks. There will be a cash bar both before and after the dinner. Wine to accompany the meal should be ordered and paid for during the pre-dinner drinks. As usual, the drinks before and after the meal will be in the Mall Room on the first floor and the dinner will be next door in the Committee Room.

The guest speaker will be Toby Hessian.

If you would like to attend the dinner, please make your cheque payable to Quintin Boat Club and either give it to a committee member or send it to the Honorary Secretary’s home address (15 Seychelle Court, Foxgrove Road, Beckenham, Kent BR3 5XU) to arrive no later than Tuesday 31 January.

The menu:

Woodland mushroom soup with truffle crème fraiche
Rump of lamb, herb roasted fondant potato, provencal vegetable ragout and olive jus
Baked lemon tart, crème fraiche, strawberry jus
Coffee, served with chocolates and petit fours

A vegetarian meal (Beetroot and goats curd ravioli with artichokes and olives) can be provided if you request it at the time of payment.

We aim to arrange the seating plan so that you will be with people with whom you rowed. However, if you would like to sit near any particular diners, please let the secretary know and we will do our best to arrange the plan accordingly.

Dress will be black tie, Quintin blazer or lounge suit. You are very welcome to bring any male or female guests who have an involvement in rowing, but it is not customary to bring non-rowing spouses, partners or guests.

If you would like to stay the night at the RAC, Dave King will be happy to book you into one of the guest rooms. Last year the charge for a single room (including early morning tea in your room, breakfast and a swim) was £94. If you are interested, please contact Dave at rac@quintinboatclub.org and he will find out the current charge.

There will be a raffle at the dinner, so any donated prizes would be much appreciated.
