Quintin Boat Club is looking to the future. We have various activities aimed to give you an opportunity to see what the sport of rowing has to offer. We have another set of Beginner Courses which are open to everyone starting soon.
The diagram below describes your possible routes in rowing. As a beginner, you would move clockwise around the various stages of rowing development. If you have some previous experience, there are a couple of possible shortcuts.
We very much look forward to meeting you.
We regularly hold Learn to Row courses, on Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons. Follow the link below for full details and to find out how to sign up.
QBC hopes enthusiasm from the Learn to Row courses will create a Novice Squad, training towards their first race in the 2009/10 season.

Unfortunately, once you get beyond a certain age, your speed in a boat tends to decrease, but that doesn't have to stop you from rowing. We have an enthusiastic veterans section, some of whom are keen to compete at major veterans' events, while others prefer gentler exercise with less emphasis on competition
QBC has various groups that allow you to row with like minded people, based upon your standard and level of commitment. Train for Henley or the club’s weekly sculling ladder.
