Qualified rowing coaches will be on hand to teach you both indoor and river rowing.

You can expect to do the following:

• 30 mins: Indoor rowing including competition
• 30 mins: Indoor rowing on a ‘tank’
• 30 mins: River rowing (if conditions permit)
• + Social in the club room

Don’t be shy as there will be lots of people just like you who are visiting the club for the first time. Look out for club members who will be wearing distinctive navy blue club tops.

We are targeting the event at participants aged 18 to 30.

Please do come prepared for whatever the British weather decides to throw at us on the day as there will be both indoor and outdoor activities. There are full changing facilities at the club but please don’t bring anything of particular value. We may be able to arrange for some items to be placed behind the bar at the owner's own risk.

Essentials to bring:

• warm, dry (if it looks like rain), sporty clothes that allow for sufficient movement but that are not too baggy. Think tracksuits and t-shirts. Do layer up...
• a change of clothes
• Wellington boots or sandals you don’t mind going in the river (we will provide some for those that haven’t brought suitable footwear)
• Snacks will be available in the clubroom but if you would like a drink at the bar, please bring some loose change

There sould be sufficient parking available around the club, but if you find the car park full please park on Hartington Road. Ibis Lane is a private road and you risk being clamped by the residents.
