A couple of months later, Quintin won Vet C eights at Borne Regatta with six of the same crew. According to the Almanack, the crew at Borne was Dave Church, Roger Griffiths, Chris Griffiths, Malcolm Cook, Ian Waddell, Alan Taylor, Chris Adams, Denis Raymond, Phil Read (cox). Malcolm recalls winning the re-row after a dead heat in the final.
