This memorial plaque has been situated on the chimney breast in the clubroom for many years, but it may have originally been located in the original wooden building housing the rowing tank, which was built by the members of the club in 1921 as a memorial to the members who died in the war 1914-18. The heading reads "Erected by the rowers in proud memory of the members who fell in the Great War" and the names listed are: A.H. Arbuthnot, D.E.G. Buckley, P. Campbell, S.M. Cohen, W.F. Haynes, W.S. Hales, V.R. Hoare, O. Hilton, F.C. Pfeiffer, R.V. Rook, H.A. Schulz, A.F. Tutton, A.F. Tull. The plaque was added to for those members who died in the war 1939-45. Their names are: I.R. Lindley, R. Marchand, A.W. Southall, D.F. Shaller, T.C. Stibbs, J.H. Wylie.
