Quintin led from the start and had ½ length lead over Ireland (Garda Siochana) after the first minute, with Scotland and Wales further back. By 1000m. Quintin, striking 38, had increased the lead to 1 length, despite repeated attempts from the Irish crew to draw level. The final verdict was 1 length, with Scotland a further 3 lengths behind and Wales a further 4 lengths down.
