Junior VIIIs final: Kensington (on the left) beat Quintin in a close-fought race. EW Bingham recorded the verdict as one foot, but the Almanack, the Times and the Polytechnic Magazine all gave the verdict as a canvas.
The Quintin crew had previously beaten Staines by ¾ length in a heat and Twickenham by 1 length in the semi-final.
According to the Rowing Almanack the crew was: RV Johnson (bow), CL Pearson, S Fitch, KT Staples, LW Pearl, JG Walker, EW Morris, EW Bingham (stroke), ETK Houston (cox).
