Note the wooden panelling, the position of the war memorial (without its 1939-45 addition) and the long dining table. The scull on the wall is the 1947 Double Sculls illuminated blade which now hangs over the fireplace. The pennants just visible would appear to be from the 1933 and 1934 Head of the River Races. The long table lived for many years in the committee room. When this disappeared to make way for the women's changing facilities, the table was placed in storage, but was eventually disposed of.
